1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Vine Bible ("the Service"), a Bible study application provided by Oriji AI ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. Your continued use of the Service following any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including visitors, registered users, and subscribers.

Age Requirement: Account registration and all account-based features of the Service — including community features, knowledge bases, and cross-device sync — are available only to users who are 18 years of age or older. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, you may not create an account or use any account-based feature.

2. Service Description

Vine Bible is a comprehensive Bible study application that provides the following features:

• Bible Reading: Access to Bible text with page-turn and scroll reading modes, text selection, and highlighting
• Devotion: Daily devotion timer, check-in tracking, streak counting, and personal reflections
• AI Wisdom (AI Q&A): AI-powered question and answer feature for Bible-related inquiries
• Notes: In-reader notes attached to specific verses and standalone global notes
• Knowledge Bases: Collaborative note-sharing groups with invitation-based access
• Growth System: Badges, points, reading statistics, and progression milestones
• Data Synchronization: Cross-device sync with offline-first architecture

4. User Accounts

4.1 Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You may register using your email address or through a supported social login provider (Apple, Google, or Facebook).

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access at [email protected]

4.3 One Account Per Person

Each individual may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or abuse the Service is prohibited.

4.4 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

4.5 Age Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. During registration you are asked to confirm that you meet this requirement, and we may rely on age signals provided by your device or operating system where available. If we learn that an account belongs to a person under 18, we will suspend the account and delete the associated personal information. 5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

5.1 Prohibited Content

• Post, upload, or share any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
• Share content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence against any individual or group
• Distribute spam, unsolicited advertising, or promotional materials

5.2 Prohibited Conduct

• Harass, intimidate, or bully other users
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service

5.3 Technical Restrictions

• Do not scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without our written permission
• Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Do not circumvent any security measures or access controls
• Do not use the Service to develop a competing product or service

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Bible Text

Bible text included in the Service is provided under license from their respective copyright holders. Usage of Bible text is subject to the terms of the applicable license agreements. You may not extract, reproduce, or distribute Bible text in bulk from the Service.

6.2 User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create within the Service, including:

• Notes and annotations
• Highlights and bookmarks
• Devotion reflections
• Knowledge Base contributions

By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service (including synchronization and Knowledge Base sharing).

6.3 Application Intellectual Property

The Service, including its code, design, user interface, graphics, icons, and overall look and feel, is the intellectual property of Oriji AI and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the Service.

6.4 AI-Generated Content

Content generated by the AI Wisdom feature is provided "as-is" and for reference purposes only. AI-generated responses:

• Are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or up-to-date
• Should not be considered as professional theological or pastoral guidance
• May be used by you for personal study and reflection
• Should be verified against Scripture and, where appropriate, discussed with qualified spiritual leaders

7. Knowledge Bases

7.1 Creator Responsibilities

If you create a Knowledge Base, you are responsible for:

• Managing the membership and access of your Knowledge Base
• Ensuring that content shared within your Knowledge Base complies with these Terms
• Moderating content and member behavior within your Knowledge Base
• Safeguarding invitation codes and managing their distribution

7.2 Member Conduct

As a Knowledge Base member, you agree to:

• Respect the purpose and guidelines of the Knowledge Base
• Share only appropriate and relevant content
• Not share invitation codes publicly without the creator's permission
• Treat other members with respect and courtesy

7.3 Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review and remove any content from Knowledge Bases that violates these Terms. Knowledge Base creators may also remove content and members at their discretion.

8. Subscriptions & Payments

8.1 Free and VIP Tiers

Vine Bible offers a free tier with core features and a VIP subscription that unlocks additional premium features. Details of what is included in each tier are displayed within the app.

8.2 Billing

All subscription payments are processed through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). We do not directly handle payment information. Billing terms are governed by the respective platform's terms of service.

8.3 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel your subscription through your device's subscription settings.

8.4 Subscription Terms

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ORIJI AI, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
• Any content obtained from the Service, including AI-generated responses
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Oriji AI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
• Any content you submit, post, or share through the Service

12. Termination

12.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the app settings. Upon deletion, your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.

12.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe:

• Violates these Terms or any applicable law
• Is harmful to other users, us, or third parties
• Involves fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity

12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Any provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Oriji AI is incorporated, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the applicable jurisdiction.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes:

• We will provide at least 30 days' notice before the changes take effect
• Notice will be provided through an in-app notification and/or email
• The updated "Last updated" date will be displayed at the top of this page
• Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms

If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.

15. General Provisions

• Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
• Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
• Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
