Vine Bible ("we," "us," or "our"), developed by Oriji AI, is a Bible study application that integrates reading, devotion, AI-powered Q&A, note-taking, collaborative knowledge bases, and a growth system. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data when you use the Vine Bible mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using our Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our Service:

1.1 Account Information

• Email address, username (display name), and profile photo
• Authentication credentials (encrypted, never stored in plain text)
• Social login identifiers (if you sign in with Apple, Google, or Facebook)

AI interaction data is used to provide responses and improve service quality. We do not use your AI conversations to train third-party models without your consent.

• Personalize your experience based on reading preferences and history
• Sync your highlights, notes, devotion records, and other data across your devices

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to process data:

• AI Service Provider: Natural language processing that powers the AI Wisdom feature. Your questions and the related Bible context are sent anonymously for processing on our behalf; we do not share personal identity information with AI providers.
• Apple Sign-In: Account authentication on iOS. Apple may share your name and email (or a relay email) based on your Apple ID settings.
• Google Sign-In: Account authentication. Google shares your name, email, and profile photo.
• Facebook Login: Account authentication. Facebook shares your name and email based on your privacy settings.
• Apple App Store: Handles all iOS subscription payments. We do not receive or store your payment card information.
• Google Play Store: Handles all Android subscription payments. We do not receive or store your payment card information.

These third-party services have their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing their policies to understand their data handling practices.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

• Knowledge Base Collaboration: Notes you add to a Knowledge Base are visible to all members of that group. The Knowledge Base creator controls access, and new members join through an invitation code system.
• Service Providers: We share data with partners who help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, AI processing), under strict confidentiality agreements.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, to comply with legal obligations, or to protect rights, safety, and property.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as a business asset.

5. Data Storage and Security

We take the following measures to protect your data:

• Local-first architecture: Bible text, highlights, notes, reading progress, and devotion records are stored locally on your device using SQLite, allowing offline access to most features.
• Encrypted transmission: All data synced to the cloud uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
• Secure token storage: Authentication tokens are stored using flutter_secure_storage on your device.
• Server-side encryption: All data stored on our servers is encrypted at rest. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms.
• Access controls: JWT-based authentication with automatic expiration, rate limiting, and intrusion detection measures.

Please note that no method of internet transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we cannot guarantee absolute security, we continuously work to protect your information.

6. Data Retention

• Account data: Permanently deleted within 30 days after you delete your account.
• AI conversations: We do not store raw AI conversation content on our servers after session completion; session metadata is retained for service improvement.
• Log data: Automatically deleted after 90 days.
• Knowledge Base contributions: Notes shared in Knowledge Bases may remain visible to other members even after you leave, unless you delete them before leaving.

7. Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR and CCPA), you have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. Most data is viewable directly within the app.
• Correction: Update inaccurate or incomplete personal data through the app or by contacting us.
• Deletion: Delete your account from app settings. All data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
• Export: Export your notes and highlights from within the app. For a complete data export, contact us.
• Restriction: Request that we restrict how we process your data.
• Objection: Object to certain types of data processing.
• Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent previously given at any time.

8. Minors' Privacy

Vine Bible accounts are intended solely for users who are 18 years of age or older, and account-based features are not directed to minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
